Cara Nix is a PhD student in political science specializing in Political Methodology and American Politics. Cara is passionate about voting rights and redistricting reform. Before coming to OSU, Cara was named a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP) fellow, studying the negative effects of gerrymandering and how to combat them. Cara completed her B.S. at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with majors in Mathematics and Political Science and a minor in Computer Science. Outside of academics, Cara loves painting and reading fiction.
