Cara Nix is a Ph.D. Candidate in political science specializing in Methodology and American Politics. She also holds a graduate minor in Computer Science and an interdisciplinary specialization in Quantitative Research Methods. Before coming to OSU, Cara was named a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP) fellow. Passionate about voting rights and redistricting reform her research is centered around using innovative applications of methodology to study different forms of representation. She has experience with natural language processing, network science, computer vision, machine learning, and data visualization. Outside of academics, Cara loves crafting, baking, and reading fiction.
