PhD Candidate Kara Hooser was awarded the Graduate School's 2023 Graduate Associate Teaching Award, Ohio State's highest recognition of exceptional teaching provided by graduate students serving as Graduate Teaching Associates (GTA). With thousands of students serving as GTAs across Ohio State, this is one of the most competitive awards at Ohio State. Students are nominated and their applications are reviewed based on the nominee's ability to facilitate student learning and to evaluate and improve their own teaching. Kara was recognized for her exceptional ability to demonstrate her knowledge and enthusiasm for her subject area, her ability to creatively use a variety of teaching techniques, her willingness to accept feedback, and her ability to constantly improve and develop greater understanding in her students.

Kara will be recognized at the Graduate School’s Annual Award Ceremony in April. Congratulations Kara!
