Pim Trommelen is a PhD student specializing in Political Theory. His interests include democratic theory broadly, with interests in the decay of democracies, cognitive diversity, and populism in particular. Currently, his work focuses on the systemic corruption of liberal electoral democracies using a non-ideal ideal framework.

Before coming to Ohio State, Pim received his BA in Sociology and Philosophy from West Virginia University, where he received the Most Outstanding Senior award. He received his MA in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. He is originally from the Netherlands.
