Kaveri Sarkar is a PhD Candidate specializing in International Relations and Comparative Politics. Her research interests include critical security studies, the role of race in IR, and how events get (or not get) constituted as wars. Currently, she is engaged in projects that interrogate the silences and omissions of race and empire in the disciplinary knowledge production on the Cold War. Prior to OSU, Kaveri received a B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology and International Relations from Beloit College, and worked as a project assistant at the Atlantic Council, where she managed the Afghanistan portfolio. She is a co-coordinator for the Research in International Politics (RIP) workshop for 2023-24.
