Political Science Alumnus in the News: Carter G. Phillips
Carter G. Phillips (OSU Political Science, Class of 1973) is one of the most experienced Supreme Court and appellate lawyers in the country. Since joining Sidley Austin LLP (the law firm where he currently practices) Carter has argued 79 cases before the Supreme Court, more than any other lawyer in private practice. Prior to joining Sidley Austin LLP, Carter served as an Assistant to the Solicitor General and in that position he argued nine cases before the Supreme Court on behalf of the United States Government.
Recently, Phillips wrote a reflection on his storied career arguing before the highest court in the land. Read it by clicking this link.
