Kara Hooser awarded Coca-Cola Critical Difference for Women Grant for Research

Last month, OSU Political Science Ph.D. student Kara Hooser was awarded $1,000 for her research proposal: “Violence as Peace: A Gender Analysis of Everyday Peace Discourses in Bosnia.”

The grant will be used to fund travel to Bosnia, where Kara is studying masculine discourses and everyday violence in post-conflict settings. 

Through the generous support of the Coca-Cola Foundation, the Critical Difference for Women Program awards grants to faculty and PhD candidates/terminal master's degree students to support research that explores women's lives, gender equity, and gender broadly conceptualized.
