Former Political Science Major, Andre Banks, Returns to Speak About ALL OUT

Please join us for ALL OUT, a special event on LGBT issues around the world featuring Andre Banks. Andre Banks, an alumnus of The Ohio State University (Honors program, class of 2000), is the co-founder and executive director of ALL OUT - a global membership-driven organization focused on spreading equality throughout the world.

ALL OUT's mission is "to build a world where no person will have to sacrifice family or freedom, safety or dignity, because of who they are or whom they love."  From petitioning a world leader to organizing a flash mob, ALL OUT's 1.8 million members around the globe respond to urgent crises and seize new opportunities to challenge the laws in 76 countries where it is a crime to be gay, lesbian, bi or trans.

Andre Banks will be returning to campus on October 25th to speak about LGBT advocacy and organizing global grassroots campaigns as well as his own story as an OSU student who became a social movement leader lobbying governments on an international scale. Join us on October 25th at 4pm in the Round Meeting Room on the Third Floor of the Union and learn more about this world-changing movement, including its on-going campaigns in Cameroon, Russia, and Australia.

Sponsored by the Department of Political Science; Sexuality Studies, a program within DISCO; the Honors & Scholars Center; the Student Life Multicultural Center; and Scarlet & Gay, the OSU GLBT Alumni Society.
