Herb Asher Internship Fund
Established through the generosity of more than 150 alumni, friends, and supporters, the Herb Asher Internship Fund honors the legacy of Professor Herb Asher, whose commitment to mentorship, experiential learning, and public service shaped generations of Ohio State students. The fund helps reduce financial barriers by supporting Pell Grant–eligible Political Science students participating in paid or unpaid federal or local government internships (including county and city government positions; state-level internships are not eligible).
If you have secured a qualifying internship and meet the eligibility requirements, we encourage you to apply. This funding is intended to help offset transportation, housing, professional attire, and other essential expenses so that financial circumstances do not prevent students from pursuing valuable public service experiences.
