Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.
Over the summer, over 50 Ohio State alumni attended a Political Science and Economics Department mixer in Washington, DC - generously sponsored by political science alumnus, Michael Cavanaugh (BA' '71). Joining the alumni for the event was the Divisional Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Ryan King, who shared an update on the various initiatives taking place in the College of Arts and Sciences, goals to increase diversity within the College and the importance of connecting alumni to the university. The event was a great opportunity for alumni in the DC-metro area to reconnect with one another, network and hear an update about the great work the Departments to advance.
