According to the widely regarded Shanghai Ranking of World Universities, The Ohio State University's Political Science department is now #14 in the world! This is a sharp jump upward from #22 last year in this evaluation of nearly 300 departments worldwide. This is an incredible achievement as the Shanghai ranking system is strictly based on measurable academic and research outputs. In fact, our world-class faculty score surpassed universities like Columbia University, UC Berkeley, and Princeton University. Even more importantly, our overall ranking of #14 places our department ahead of universities including Yale University, the University of Michigan, UC San Diego, and the University of Chicago.
