Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Fall COMPAS Conference

inequality
September 22 - September 23, 2016
12:00 am - 12:00 am
Thompson Library, 11th Floor

The Center for Ethics and Human Values has selected the theme of Inequality for its 2016-2017 COMPAS program.

In fall 2016, the focus will be on “The Costs of Inequality.” This series of events will explore the complex ways in which inequalities in resources, opportunity, and treatment—for example, along lines of class, race, and gender—can produce or reinforce unequal outcomes in areas as diverse as health outcomes, criminal justice policy and practices, and political power. The program will explore the question of when these inequalities are objectionable, either in themselves or because of their consequences.
