Charlene J. Stainfield is a Ph.D. candidate studying American Politics and Political Methodology. Her interests include public opinion, political behavior, political identities, elections, survey measurement, survey methods, and experiments. Charlene’s dissertation examines public opinion through three studies investigating public trust in polling, partisan survey participation, and AI interventions to counter election misinformation. She has co-authored work in Current Opinion in Psychology and contributed to several Democratic Erosion Consortium (DEC) evidence briefs. 

Charlene received her BA in Political Science with a focus in American Politics from the University of North Florida (UNF) in 2017. After graduating, she held the position of Senior Research Associate at the Public Opinion Research Lab (PORL) at UNF.
