Department Hosts Bake-Off Competition
The Department of Political Science came together on May 6th for our second bake-off event. The competition featured 12 contestants from across the department—including staff, faculty, and graduate students—showcasing a wide variety of baked goods.
All members of the department were invited to participate as taste testers, sampling entries and submitting nominations across three award categories: Best All-Around Bake, Best Presentation, and Most Creative Bake.
Charlene Stainfield was awarded Best All-Around Bake for her Garlic Honey Focaccia, Benjamin Falcon earned Best Presentation for his Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake, and Ryo Sawayama received the prize for Most Creative Bake with his Matcha Swiss Roll.
The bake-off provided an opportunity for the department to connect outside of the classroom, celebrate creativity and friendly competition.
