This course provides an introduction to contemporary feminist political theories. We will examine a number of controversial interdisciplinary concepts and issues relating to feminist theory, including the ways in which feminism has been and can be articulated, who the subjects of feminist theory are, how race, class, and sexuality affect our gender experiences, and how to create a feminist praxis (practice informed by theory) which transforms traditional conceptions of social justice.
