The Department of Political Science announces a competition to support the research of graduate students, including research travel, survey costs, and data purchase.
Applications will be evaluated by review committees that will make recommendations to the Department Chair. As many as 7 grants of up to $2,000 each will be awarded.

Students who have applied for the Ripley Grants and for ICPSR funding need not reapply - their applications will automatically be included in this competition.
Minority students who apply will also automatically be considered for Madison Scott Grants.
Students in their fourth-year and beyond are eligible only if they have an approved prospectus (by the April 15 deadline).
Deadline: The application deadline is April 15, 2010. Students with winning grant applications are informed by the end of spring quarter, with some awards being announced earlier. Funds can be spent through June 30, 2011; they cannot be used to purchase equipment. All grants are subject to the rules and regulations of The Ohio State University.
