Biography

Jack Fernandes is a PhD candidate specializing in International Relations and Comparative Politics. Focusing on Global Environmental Politics, his research examines the political consequences of natural disasters in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Before coming to OSU, he received a BA in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College. In addition, he has worked as an intern for the United Kingdom’s Diplomatic Mission to the United Nations and the Los Angeles Mayor's Office of International Affairs.
