Brief Bio

Lyndsey Young is a doctoral student in the Department of Political Science at the Ohio State University. Born and raised in Paducah, KY, she holds a B.A. in English (2001) and an M.A. in Political Science (2003) from the University of Louisville. As a student of American Politics, she has specialized research and teaching interests in legislative organization and behavior, political parties and interest groups, state politics, and gender politics. Lyndsey also has political methodology interests in areas such as duration models, spatial models, multilevel models, and survey research design. She hopes to further her methodological interests as the 2005-2006 junior fellow in the Program in Statistics and Methodology (PRISM) under Jan Box-Steffensmeier.
