Welcome to my web page. I received my Ph.D. in political science
at Ohio State University in June 2005. I am currently a
visiting assistant professor in the political
science department at Denison University. My research and teaching interests are broadly concerned with public opinion, voting behavior, political psychology, and methodology.
My dissertation investigates the links between political attitudes and voting, and in particular focuses on the consequences of ambivalent political attitudes. I examine the impact of ambivalence on information seeking, processes of candidate evaluation, abstention from voting, and support for third party
candidates (click here
for my information on my research).
While at Ohio state, I have taught courses in introduction to American government, voting behavior and participation, and the undergraduate research methods
class (click here
for more information on the courses I taught at Ohio State). This coming semester at Denison University, I will be teaching an introductory course on American political institutions and behavior as well as conducting an honors seminar on public opinion.
If you have any questions about my work or just want to drop me a line, then feel free to send me an email.
