Specialty in Race, Gender, and EthnicityThe Specialty in Race, Gender, and Ethnicity and Politics permits a focus on one or more of these three areas. The study of Race, Gender, or Ethnicity may be combined with other subfields in American politics, including Political Participation and Voting Behavior, Public Opinion and Political Psychology, Political Parties and Interest Groups, Judicial Politics, and Legislative Politics. Faculty: William Nelson, Thomas Nelson, Harwood McClerking, Corrine McConnaughy, David Paul, and Ismael White. Classes taught regularly include:
Readings courses have also been offered on such topics as Gender and Political Behavior, Women and the Judiciary, Latino Politics, and Group Consciousness and Group Identity.
