Irfan Nooruddin is Associate Professor of Political Science at The Ohio State University (Ph.D. University of Michigan 2003).
Professor Nooruddin’s research centers on issues of economic development and state-building in the developing world. His book Coalition Politics and Economic Development was published by Cambridge University Press in 2011, and his current research tackles the challenge of building functioning states in countries recovering from violent civil conflict.
Since 2007, Professor Nooruddin has been one of the lead instructors at the annual Summer School on Quantitative Methods in Political Science organized by Lokniti-Centre for Study of Developing Societies, New Delhi, India. In 2012, Professor Nooruddin was a Fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC.
