Note: All papers will be available on the VIM web site approximately two weeks prior to the conference. We ask that you upload your papers directly to the web site by Friday, Sept. 12. Detailed instructions on doing so will be posted soon.Purpose: The conference is part of a broader goal of
supporting
activities for women in the field of political methodology funded
that are funded by NSF. The activities are intended to create
networks and opportunities, as well as to plug the "leaky pipeline"
for women in the field of political methodology where women are
under-represented. The new initiative implements recommendations
from the recent National Academy of Sciences reports, the APSA
Workshop on the Advancement of Women in Academic Political Science,
and the 2006 Political Methodology Long Range Strategic Planning
Committee Report.
Application Information:
Women faculty at all ranks are encouraged to apply.
To apply, send curriculum vitae and an abstract for research
presentation. There will be approximately 10-15 research
presentations. There are discussant slots as well.
Applications will be accepted via the website and will be open on
March 15, 2008.
The application deadline is March 31, 2008.
Notifications will be sent by April 30, 2008, via email.
