Scholarly Papers

The ITV program prides itself on adaptation and sensitivity to distance learning-related issues. To that end, faculty teaching ITV courses are encouraged to produce manuscripts discussing their experiences with the interactive methods program.

The first paper, "The Multi-Site Interactive Video Curriculum in Advanced Data Analysis for Political Science," appeared originally in The Political Methodologist. In it, Box-Steffensmeier, Freeman, Powers, Shively, and Sutton detail the earliest efforts in the ITV Advanced Methods Program's development.

The second paper, "Distance Learning in Advanced Methods Training," was presented during the 2001 Midwest Political Science Association Meetings by Professor Herb Weisberg. The paper details his experiences (and those of his students) during his Autumn 2000 Scaling and Dimensional Analysis Course.
